Much as it sounds idyillic, and it would be nice to simplify life a bit, but I wouldn't because I'd totally miss out on many of the things that help make my life easier. Like having a dishwasher, or a washing machine. Imagine a queue of impatient girls cribbing "where's my freakin' shorts/ hoody/t-shirt /jeans/knicks??" You can't sun dry laundry in the rain.

But I'd love an allotment, like the ones which the nation's well-loved cook Nigel Slater used to visit during his cooking progs on BBC 1.

I would. I would like the connection with the internet, but that would be my only eccentricity. I can live without TV.

I would like to grow all my own food which would save me a whole heap of money but I got no where too.

I have grown my own veg in the past ... its good to eat stuff you've grown yourself, but it's bloody hard work!

Weeds grow a lot faster than the veg, and caterpillars and slugs don't half take their toll.

I do live a fairly simple life ... only have a small tv and don't watch it a lot. But will buy my veg from the supermarkets in future!
