Angry politics: UK spending cuts.

So then Brits, what do we think of George Osborne's spending cuts?

Cutting the police force down, is this a good idea?

I think its gone to far, Kent has had its budget cut so that the funding for the training of 200 new officer is no longer there. Sussex will lose 1000 staff, of which 500 will be officers.

This was on the news last night not long after a piece saying that pubs will be charged extra for police dealing with drunks in towns.
And then today i see that 2 police officers were taken off duty to collect abandond shopping trollies for Tesco, a company that anouced profits in excess of 1 billion in its first quarter.
Tesco have a nation wide fleet of delivery vans, would it not have been less costly for the nation for them to have sent two staff members out for the day in one of those vans.

Well thats Tory rule for you, its back to the 80's for us now.

Anyway, thats my gripe over, whats yours?

You are not alone. Ours were on strike yesterday in Montreal because of the cuts. I heard it on radio, so I'm not sure how it ended.

In my opinion, they need more agents to fight against the crimes.

There are a lot of them on streets lately. Well, for the last one I won't cry if their loose some of them. Especially since they give tickets only to increase our Mayor's budget.

I'm not there biggest fan i have to admit, i grew up during the UK Coal miners strikes. So I have watched the beat the hell out of my Dad, uncles & even belive it or not my Grandads for nothing more than standing on the picket line protesting that they wanted the pits to stay open and keep there jobs.

Over here they have been hit before, most small villages had their own village bobby but that disapered years ago. i live out in the countryside and our nearest police station is around 10miles away. this means it takes them up to 1/2hour to get to us if we need them.

It's the same story with the health servies, our closest hospital used to be about 10 miles away, now the closest is 15miles, but for big emergancies you have to go around 25 - 30miles.

The nearesy ambulance station is 15miles, and they are going to cut that soon too, which means the next closeat will be 25 - 30miles. in real trems, when i had my kidney troubles i was told by the doctors that 20mins more i would have been dead.... Guess i am next time.

Not really, house prices in the town are either too high or in bad areas.

Its going to get messy, we now have riots happening. how will they cope with this when the police force is going to be reduced by a third?

Things are really bad at the moment. The economy shrank by 0.5 percent in a month.
The govenment blame the weather.
I hope the weather improves this month.

Could we get rid of of politicians instead ? We should have only one government for the entire world and fire all the others. Even those elected should be punished if they work only for their benefit instead of those who elected them.

One person ruling the world? is that a good idea, after all the super heroes have been trying to stop that for years
