Cheap drinks to make at home

I bought recently a cocktail book and after I read a bit from it, I went to my liquor store very proud that I knew what I was looking for. When I came home I realised that I was still missing lots of ingredients for my cocktails. It's quite fun to mix them into the shaker, but quite expensive.

So I was wondering if any of you have receipes for cheap & easy drinks to make at home and save money.

Here is mine taken from the internet:

Black Russian is a simple vodka and coffee liqueur drink. Put 1 3/4 oz of wodka and 3/4 oz of coffee flavored brandy in an old-fashioned glass filled with ice and stir well.

1 c. lemon juice
3/4 c. sugar
5 1/2 c. water

Mix everything in a non-reactive pitcher until the sugar's dissolved. Add ice if desired. Refrigerate.

You can boil 1 c. water with the sugar to dissolve it completely and make it easier to mix thoroughly.

Oh, and if you're curious as to the name of this drink, it's lemonade.

Snowball Special Cocktail Ingredients

(for those of us in the UK)

2 shots advocaat
1 shot Stones Ginger Wine
Twist lime(s)
lemonade
2-4 drops tabasco sauce

Instructions

In a tall glass pour your advocaat, ginger wine and squeeze half a fresh lime, (and tabasco sauce if required). Top up to 1/2 pint with lemonade. Stirr and enjoy (unless you like a thick strong finish).
