Re: Are you ready to change your life?
I know. My late father started out on an "old" medication (diabinase I think it was called/spelled), but ended up going on insulin roughly eight years before he passed away.
I have been relatively good with my diet and I do a lot of dancing (you should see me Saturday nights, radio tuned in on a disco/funk/"dance" show.) I've also bookmarked several tunes on YouTube that I use to exercise (first of all, they have rather catchy beats, second, you can figure out how long you've exercised because they all have the length listed.) Oh, and I sign up for dance classes each semester to get an extra dose of exercise.
Tack onto that a seven week old kitten and a good old-fashioned carrot-and-stick* program, and I'm kinda good to go.

* - Carrot = cute kitten/guy photos, stick = remembering what my father and a former professor went through (I saw my dad's health decline severely firsthand, and the professor had a major heart attack that left him comatose for six months [he almost had a heart transplant, but the doctors refused to do it because of his age and his diabetes, so he had sextuple bypass surgery instead].)
