(the posting had turned hectic of late, but sooner or later the goblin returned, where a reply usually called him then)

repost from elsewhere, consoling someone

"...it's funny how those we love never actually part from one when they die, and I suppose too, that it's a strength of character here to be able to feel someone from within now..." mentioned the goblin, adding "...so death is just that transferring of someone who is without, into someone who is within..."

One of the invading threads looks like spam, and I don't know how goblins react to the tinned luncheon meat.

"...well a lot of people eat spam, so I tend to go by the idea that every post is a gift till proven ill intended, for otherwise, regardless of what one writes, they'll always be someone out there who is going to think that the post not to their taste dubbing it spam then, where if one follows that logic the posting pool soon dries up..." mentioned the goblin perhaps confessing to an agenda here, saying "...yes, I like it when you reply and I always reply back too, yet many posters who don't know me take it badly that I don't post much elsewhere here, but that's just my nature, something that people get used to after a while I imagine, but you can PM me if I can help, I welcome anyone posting on your forum, it's a very nice forum too, gets my vote then..."

repost from elsewhere

"...welcome human if I may so bold as to call you one now..." went the goblin once more, noting that there did seem to be an awful a lot of them on this forum at this point, but that was by the by then, so he just continued by saying "...have you ever stopped to think about where most of your readers are now, where you are too for that matter, so the real question is who is going to be first to tap into this new medium then, where what with fewer and fewer people actually having the time to read though hundreds of pages of a book, and where for every new reader of some book hundreds more will just turn up on forumland here to read something interesting of yours, doesn't here just seem more important than elsewhere now..." continuing "...you see, a lot of writers just try to get posters to read their blogs or books then, with ads and links in their posts, but how do those posters actually judge the writer even before they touch their publications, yes, they look at their posts, where if those posts do not inspire..., need I say more now MYAHAHAHA..."

repost from elsewhere, someone battling his cigarette problem

"...some things are worse than those cigarettes even, for example what are the two biggest killers of the elderly today are probably social withdrawal and television..." mentioned the goblin, explaining "...where not keeping oneself mentally active and socially engaged, the mind will sink into senility in the end, moreover, having given up cigarettes is ample proof that you have both seen and adjusted one obvious habit of yours, so the question remains whether you have seen your others now, and whether you wish to draw up a "list of habits" to fine tune the course of your life over the long run, or whether you just wish to do nothing and have them to catch up with you at a later date, well if you get a later date that is...", but that was the goblin for you, somehow he knew that most humans didn't do anything until forced to, simply their old age was someone else to them

The only persons who can win are the mods & admin as they have the power to close the thread but I'm sure that has been said here before. No I did not read all the thread.

"...ah no, the true nature of the "last post" game is that it is actually based on a simple lie, in that one only ever loses this game when one wins outright, otherwise we're all still in it with a chance of winning, but against who, why oneself of course, where thread-locks are merely "rain stops play" here..." mentioned the goblin who knew of forums that had lost their goblin that way, explaining "...sometimes it's just me and admin left on the forum, and still I post on where the admin feeds me, yes some forums take years to mature where a forum should be for life..."

("...pleased to meet anyone then..." replied the goblin, adding "...the game gets interesting were more people are posting, for your posts feed me my post too...")

repost from elsewhere

Quote:
Although there is one thing I can at least say on worlds, my world is crumbling right before my eyes...
"... ah now, "when one door closes another opens" as they say then, chin up, for the good life only makes one soft and cheap by it, where the hard life grows one like a rose in winter whose hips are worthless until some bitter frost has ripened them, for all that you really have, is not even that which you have posted here, this too can be taken away from you now, no, all you actually have are your thoughts and it would be a pity not to exact them to yourself by what you are going through posts, where writing is a means to an end, where often we think the footprints left on the page to be the end in itself, but no, it was the creature of those tracks all along..."
