Re: A game from IF that I think might be interesting
FeiLong, Tao and Yoh are having fun celebrating Chinese New Year (Year of the Tiger) "borrowing" a few of the tabbies (heck, "pocket-sized" tigers, y'know.) Softened Tiger's been feasting on steamed fish as well as her usual crunchies while Yoh softly speaks to her in Chinese (I wish I understood Chinese!)
We had a few Dragon dancers over (America's friend decided to include our tiny Chinese delegation in their celebrations, fireworks and all) and several of the Japanese delegation have been making them feel welcome during their festival (even supplying the fireworks and tangerines.)
Tomorrow we're celebrating "Half-priced Chocolate Day" (which should be an international holiday, but beggars can't be choosers. ) A chocolate ritual and something chocolate at every meal should be de rigueur, y'know.
Ah, Al's back from his chat with the Mother Superior. Oh, he's keeping mum about what it was about, just shaking his head whenever someone asks about it.
Gotta go. The Chinese adult delegation's demanding more fish.

Re: A game from IF that I think might be interesting
Another one bit the dust, :kitty:wise.
Asami, dead in the water, after spotting the cute waif shivering among the cold, stiff bodies of her family. He said that they seemed to have just been dumped by the side of the road from a passing vehicle (his tone of voice doesn't bode well for whomever did that, if you ken my meaning. ) He named her after his favorite brand of cigarettes, Dunhill (her ashy grey pelt reminds him of the ashes from the cigarettes.)
Right now, she's with one of the nursing queens (her ears are still mostly closed, that's how young she is) and will be reunited with the big man when she's old enough. Nekoyashiki's told him to avoid smoking around her when they're reunited so she won't get sick. Suoh's "lending" Tiger Lily's services and Chii's lending her services, too (teach the yakuza boss how to play with Dunhill before they actually do so) and Softened Tiger is showing him how to properly discipline delinquent :kitty:s without the use of a gun ("Which is okay for delinquent human discipline.")
Most of the female members of "the clan" went to have "well woman physicals" (which the doctors we have don't perform for obvious reasons) but two of the outside doctors will more than likely end up quitting due to encounters with Shigure and Clare (Shigure was able to somehow conceal specialized darts somewhere under her hospital gown, and Clare was ready to rip the other doctor's face off. . . with her teeth.) A security guard that was called to assist with restraining Clare had to send his uniform down to the hospital laundry (she was going demon right there, and her teeth and jaws were starting to resemble a cross between a crocodile's and a jaguar's.) I don't know what happened to get her that angry, but I know that I, for one, will attempt to avoid any and all situations that can lead up to that transformation. Oh, and Keigo saw her demonic teeth (he's definitely chilling around her!)
We also had a chocolate pig-out (that is, those of us who will eat chocolate.) The half-off Valentines Day candy sales demanded our attention with offers ranging from crisped rice to peanut butter to caramel (or were they cream-filled?) Takaba Akihito and Tesshou can't wait for Fat Tuesday ("Paczkis!") I'm surprised they don't have Type II diabetes by now! Their friends have been looking at them like they need to get their heads examined (which I wholeheartedly agree with.)
Ah, gotta go. Asami looks like he wants to play with Dunhill and I don't think the cattery will let him.

Re: A game from IF that I think might be interesting
Takaba and Tesshou are recovering from Tuesday (too many paczkis, including a dozen each of the prune filled [I don't think I have to go any further with that!].) Nobody's feeling any sympathy towards them, not even Keigo.
Shigure, Clare and I have to go back to the doctor tomorrow (Shigure and Clare to finish the last bit of their "well woman" exams, and I have to get a fasting blood draw [cholesterol and glucose check].) I specified that the doctors working with Shigure and Clare be cautious around them so a repeat of Monday can be avoided. Shigure might leave her weapons behind, but Clare cannot leave her "alternate self" behind. The security guard was given the day off (Clare's just that scary when she's ) and the two who were working on weapons master and the part demon were assigned to a whole different area of the hospital for everyone's own good. I think I'll take some time with the :kitty:s afterward (might use that as bribe to keep them from trying to kill the doctors.)
Dunhill's settled somewhat into the cattery, staying with her foster mother (Daiba's set up a "live-cam" that everybody can sit and watch her as much as they want, the same way newer parents might want to watch their children grow and see/do new things.)
Gotta go. "Speak of the devils".

Re: A game from IF that I think might be interesting
My "clan" met a local comedian at a "meet 'n greet" at a local grocery store (wonder if he's going to say anything about the guys and, if so, what when he's on the radio next.)
We bought something that Asami loves: blood oranges. I'm going to have to set aside several dollars for them from now on (they aren't cheap!)
Oh, and we ran into the waste of a good evening of adult entertainment who threw Dunhill and her family out the window of a moving car (Asami had to be physically restrained, but there were enough of us who expressed his displeasure at the offending male's actions.) Oh, and the reason they were tossed? They served their purpose in teaching his kids "the birds and the bees". I have a sneaking suspicion that the guys who carry firearms would've pistol-whipped the WoaGEoAE until their arms got tired (and Wren's arms are mostly mechanical, so they wouldn't have gotten tired that quickly.) Anyway, there was an "off-duty" Animal Welfare officer nearby who took him off our hands.
The only items that were mashed were the loaves of sliced bread.
Anyway, we made pizzas today for lunch (really terrific crusts because of all of the rage.) Asami entered the cattery afterward and gave Dunhill's foster mother a scratch between the ears and along the jaw, whispering we found the b@st@rd who hurt your newest kitten and he won't hurt another ever again.
Ah, gotta go. Phone call that I have to answer.

Re: A game from IF that I think might be interesting
We had some excitement featuring Asami, FeiLong, Suoh, Kei, Yoh, and Wren. Yep, the ones who "pack".
Anyway, one of the students forgot to inform anybody that she had a stalker, and we found out when he came after her with a shotgun. Well, he found out the hard way about angering yakuza who aren't afraid to take out the competition. Permanently. Poor Suoh ended up getting special treatment at the performance since he was the one who held the b@st@rd using the guy's own gun until the cops showed up. Suoh has the difficulty of having relatively fair skin (and the ability to show embarrassment.)
Tao initially wanted to go with FeiLong, but Mieu stopped him with a simple bit of reason: if Tao went out without a gun, FeiLong would worry, therefore his attention wouldn't be on the task at hand, possibly ending tragically. The boy didn't like it, but he accepted the caveat. Takaba suggested that the youth help guard the area the dancers were in just in case the guy with the shotgun made it through Asami's hunt.
Clare shocked several dancers with her sword (none of the male dancers could even lift it, yet she can wield it one-handed, if need be.) A few of the guest dancers use swords in their dances, but they're scimitars, and not combat scimitars. Clare carries a claymore, and a rather large one at that (plus it has seen quite a bit of combat in it's "lifetime".)
Our blind swordsman also guarded an entrance/exit. ("How in the h*ll can he fight when he's blind?!" "D@mned well, if you ask me.") Anyway, he got "treated" to one of the dancers performing in front of his seat. She dances with two swords and a knife at the same time (and d@mned well, if I do say so myself.) Anyway, his modified sunglasses really came in handy (since he can "see" outlines of things if need be.)
Well, getting back to Suoh: he's getting a special treat along with Kei for helping out when they did. Asami's getting his "treat" from Takaba and FeiLong's getting something, too (don't know who's giving him his special treat, though. *shrug*)
Ah, gotta go. A couple of cops want to chat with me for their report.

Re: A game from IF that I think might be interesting
Ah, the "clan" had fun at the expense of an idjit ("an idiot does something stupid, an idjit does something that can be lethal.")
We were heading home from an improv Purim party when a driver headed straight for us (going the wrong way on a one-way street.) Anyway, the lead vehicle of our caravan was a wanzer. You guessed it. STOMP! Airbag deployment and mashed hood/bonnet. Engine block can't be rebuilt, nor can the transmission since they were completely flattened. Several of the guys confronted the driver, and a few could even recognize the brewery of the offender's choice.
Well, turned out that the offender was driving on a revoked license (multiple DUIs along with a few other offenses.) Hayato and Yogi happily obliged in taking him in (none too gently, either.)
Oh, Suoh had an interesting situation come up: several of the performers from the belly dancing exhibition gave him their telephone numbers as well as their e-mail addresses. He just wants to die. I'm giving him extra time with Tiger Lily until he has worked out a reasonable solution to his newfound celebrity. I've offered him my bed while I'm sleeping on the floor tonight (it's big enough to have him sleep with several :kitty:s or two Newfoundlands.) He said he'll think about my offer.
Ah, gotta go. Have to get out my bedroll since I'm willingly sleeping on the floor. With :kitty:s.

Re: A game from IF that I think might be interesting
Just had a visit from the apartment manager (put up CO detectors in the apartment, Daiba's "cave" and the cattery, plus a quick visit with the "clan" that was here.) She's enthralled with the new :kitty: (Dunhill) and asked if she could link her computer into the live feed as well as old footage. We basically said, "We'll see."
Anyway, our newest neighbor got chewed out by her (he left his wheelchair parked right at the end of our sidewalk, making it difficult to enter/exit the premises. I hope that her lecture gets through his thick skull, but I doubt it. Oh, boy, she raised her voice (a sign that she's .)
Oops, gotta go. It's "Feed the masses" time again and I have several pairs of eyes (both humanoid and not) looking right at me in that way.

Re: A game from IF that I think might be interesting
Got a complaint from one of the neighbors ("How dare you destroy my wheelchair?!") First of all, why did he assume it was one of my "clan"? Just because we've complained repeatedly about him leaving his wheelchair at the end of the complex's public sidewalk doesn't mean we'd completely destroy it to the point that not even the bolts could be reused. . . . Second, he knows that several people in the complex have some form of mobility difficulties, including both Belinda and Mamoru (Belinda because of her stroke, Mamoru because he's blind ["visually impaired" to be PC].)
He found his wheelchair in the street, in pieces. The way he was carrying on about it, you would've thought someone left a human sacrifice on his doorstep, along with the sacrifice's blood. I believe his caseworker's going to attempt getting him another one, but making sure he has someone bring it all the way inside.
Oops, gotta go. He's just outside my apartment, ranting again, and I have to talk several of "my clan" out of doing something rather illegal. SHEATH, HOLSTER AND POWER DOWN! YOU KNOW THE ROUTINE!

Re: A game from IF that I think might be interesting
*looks up from "breakfast" of Scotch, Irish, vodka and Bacardi 151 rum*
Some days it just don't pay to get up. "The clan" has been swamped with "interested people" (Roy's to the point of wanting to blast them all with a Fire 3 or Inferno spell [info for those "in the know" about the Final Fantasy series] and I'm tempted to let him have fun.) Most of the guys who "pack" are leaving their guns behind ("Removes the ability to use while the temptation's there.")
I think we're going to have to do a mass mailing to leave us alone for a while otherwise there might be trouble beyond the students' comprehension.
Tao's undergoing placement tests to see whether or not to have him skip a grade (FeiLong's happier than pigs that've just been slopped.) I told FeiLong that Tao might be able to work out a schedule that'll lt him graduate high school after what would technically be his junior year, so he'd be two years younger than everybody else in his college classes (could be good, could be bad.) FeiLong got a bit depressed when I informed him that Tao wouldn't be the youngest college student (that honor goes to a young man in California who took a full load in high school and college, at the same time [got his Bachelor's degree two weeks after his high school diploma]. ) He recovered quickly after I let him know the other student was a native English speaker, while Tao's not, plus they don't have that program here.
Takaba and Tesshou have completely recovered from the "Prune Paczki Fiasco" (they hated the entire recuperation and don't want to even hear the word "prune", but most of us are being a bit evil in mentioning the fruit as much as possible. )
Ah, gotta go. A few :kitty:s and a couple of children want fed.

Re: A game from IF that I think might be interesting
The "clan" is getting ready for what a few call "the pre-Passover Pig-Out" in a little more than a week (the veterans of the annual event saw the young man who will help with the rituals leaving along with his family, therefore they knew it's coming up.) The veterans explained to the newbies what we're going to do so the pantry's empty of any and all unacceptable items during that week (several of the newbies are really looking forward for the pig-out.)
I spoke with the semi drivers to let them know that they're going to be hauling special stuff the last week of this month (one understood immediately since he knows the delivery schedule for the store almost by heart) and he's setting aside some Easter stuff for the "little ones" that he'll deliver after the holiday.
We're helping out at an Easter egg hunt, too (security detail) and the people running it will give the Easter baskets for the "clan"'s children to my friends Tyler and America (the candy'll be safe since they don't eat candy.) I'm just picturing a confrontation between several of the security force and any troublemakers (Kei will be the easiest to intimidate, but he'll beat the opponent to a pulp before that happens; his boss, Asami will just smirk before he slowly breaks every bone in the opponent's body while Kei's friend and colleague, Suoh, is stoic as he practically rends the opponent limb from limb before putting the opponent's weapon somewhere they won't soon forget [it's not that he's psychotic, it's just he's rather "traditional Japanese" when it comes to his job]; the twins and their boss see things with a "price tag" and the shinigami will get you coming or going [one has to die someday. . .].)
I'd better go. Several :kitty:s are in Stealth mode and stalking some-thing/-one out of my view. They look like they're ready to shred said prey.
