GYAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAHHH!

Sorry about this but, well I have even more guests to deal with. *whimper*

Most of the new guys are from a talent agency (a "mostly male" talent agency), but there's a handful of high school musicians with their sensei and their senpai along with a demon and his entourage (no major demonic stuff, just a bit of "Feed me" on the demon's part.) Oh, and a retired host and his girlfriend. At least I don't have to worry about feeding the demon (a puzzle or two is sufficient for now.) Alas, it's the feeding of several teenage males I have to deal with (luckily one of my friends asked his grandparents to "donate a deer" to "the cause" Thursday (they gave me six deer that everybody here's dressed.) Don't worry, My friends and her mother are donating their ovens for the venison (mine will be busy with practically everything else from roasted chestnuts to pumpkin cheesecakes.) Sakon is donating a performance for his dinner as are the musicians (a classical concert with a bit of ragtime mixed in.)

Most of the newbies are rather smitten by the :kitty:s (feelings seem reciprocated) but I have a sneaking suspicion that the rest will be won over by the ever-present "kawaii"-ness inherent to :kitty:dom. The female squeeing over the furred delegation...

Update later. I think I need a drink.

Hanataro's returned from Texas while Byakuya's staying behind for a bit ("Why did the captain go so fast? He knows I can't go as fast as he!") He has set up a temporary quarters in the cattery, small tins of :kitty: food ready to be opened at a moment's notice. He looked like he'd been crying, so I'll leave him be (just sending his meals down until further notice.) Rukia had an assignment in Luxemburg, Wisconsin and Renji had one in Kenosha ("We hate having assignments involving little children, especially children under five.")

Gotta go. We have a minor food crisis in the kitchen (as in "We're running low!" again.)

All of my guests are back and pretty much staying indoors (except for the snow spirits) due to a winter storm here (a mix of ice, sleet, freezing rain and snow.) D@mn it's crowded. The fact that I have more guests (I CAN'T AFFORD THE SPACE) isn't helping much, either. It's a good thing that I have a rather decent radio and decent speakers on my computer (we're having a makeshift party here with different tunes playing.) Ukon (Sakon) has been complaining a bit about how crowded it is (I told him I could send him across the hall to stay with that neighbor... *evil*) Excuse me for a moment...

Thank you for volunteering to go get food for everybody. I listed quite a lot of dairy and frozen food. Please remember to wear lightweight fall clothes instead of summerwear. I don't want to have to explain to the police and the hospital staff that you guys don't need "observation", okay?

Okay, I'm back. Many of my guests have been checking out some of the YouTube posts listed in both my favorites and in the YouTube thread (one of them noticed a posting that s/he thought Muslimwoman might be interested in watching, a video of a Muslim [I'll look for it later if you're interested MW.]) Excuse me again...

The group's name is Three Dog Night. Get your mind out of the gutter, you wolfman.

Gotta go. The "natives" are getting restless. Again. *le sigh*

*stares at the bottle of 18 yr. old single malt Scotch, debating whether or not to pour a few shots*

Yep, you got it. More guests. Nekoyashiki's been real helpful in the cattery (he's pretty much sequestered himself there with his aides who just happen to be his favorite species [yep, :kitty:].) The other staff people/consultants/etc. for Astral have been doing their best to avoid some of my neighbors (especially Sekiren, the Vajrayana Buddhist who also happens to be a martial arts practitioner.) It's lucky that I know some places they can go to find temples/groves/etc. for their individual worship.

Luckily the bizarre postal worker hasn't been a problem when it comes to housing (she doesn't deliver the usual mail, but mail from the "dearly departed", which makes for some rather intriguing situations, y'know.) Ah, she's off again on another delivery. I hope she took the rice balls I had set aside for her trip along with the box of takoyaki (I don't eat octopus.)

There are several more guests here, too many to list at the moment, but that'll change (perhaps after a few stiff drinks...)

You know what's coming. *sigh* Yep, more guests. Five of them are "singing for their supper" (a rock band) while some of the others are helping out in other ways. Too bad they can't help out with the bills (especially food!) Speaking of which, excuse me...

Don't tell me, let me guess. We ran out of something at the block party. There's more ready to heat up in the freezer. You know the routine.

Hitsugaya had a job this past week (a bartender who was found at the bottom of the stairs at the tavern she worked at, a victim of a botched armed robbery) while Kira had a job involving an eight year old boy. Due to this, we're having a throwtogether block party (Towa and Sado are having fun playing dual electric bass with both of their bands [Towa belongs to Lucifer, Sado sits in on the college band he befriended over the time he's been here].) I've been keeping some of my neighbors away from everybody the best I can (some just don't/can't learn. ) Speaking of which...

Wren, please power down. I don't have the funds to replace several walls that will be destroyed by your pulse cannon. Take some time with the :kitty:s. I think you'll have some other company, too.

I have both a bottle of 18-year-old single malt Scotch and a bottle of vodka calling me. I believe I'll answer them.

(A response from one of the other members of IO)

It did that to two of my most recent guests (Aine, the lyricist for Lucifer, and Sakuya, lead vocalist and sometime composer for Lucifer) along with your latest post here. Excuse me...

Guys, take your "inspiration" over there, please. There isn't enough room or enough privacy to expound on your inspiration. Thank you.

Gotta go. We ran out of everything but prunes and what the Brits call tomato sauce (Americans call ketchup.) Grocery shopping is such a chore when trying to feed over 200 people three times a day without buying too many premade items.

(Another response from the other member of IO)

Yes, they are, but here are the names of my guests (along with what instrument he plays):

Sakama Zakuto (Towa) - Bass Guitar
Kiriyu Atsurou - Second Guitar
Tohdo Yukifumi (Yuki) - First Guitar
Nagai Yoshihiko (Santa) - Drums
Ookouchi Sakuya - Lead Vocals, Keyboards (occasionally)

Sakuya called the group you heard of "posers". You can see my guests in the anime/manga Kaikan Phrase if you're interested.

The "old almond tree buddy" composes, "helps" the lyricist (by, um, "inspiring" her), plays keyboards on occasion and is kinda the "Mick Jagger" of the group (you know, the lead vocals.) He's the "face", the "front man" of the group. Speaking of "inspiring the lyricist", excuse me for a second...

Sakuya, if your going to inspire another song, please go someplace private. Thank you. I don't think you want the :kitty:s to intrude in their own curiously painful fashion. I believe 105's empty right now.

Sorry about that. He was getting a bit frisky with Aine, his girlfriend and the group's lyricist.

We had an impromptu shindig on campus (no apartment neighbors! ) The GSA and the Anime Club provided some of the chow (as did people from the Japanese, Math, American Indian, LGBT, and the Ethnic Studies departments [the Navajo fry bread went over quite well with several of my guests as did the Chinese fish balls and the Hmong egg rolls].) Several of my guests exchanged recipes with the food providers (especially the fry bread.)

Here are a couple of the tunes we did (as performed by the original artists):

YouTube - Kenny Loggins & Stevie Nicks Whenever I call You Friend
YouTube - Blues Brothers - Rubber Biscuit

There were a few "gate crashers" but campus security took care of them before Wren "powered up" (fortunately!) I can't understand why one of the crashers hasn't been sent to jail for trespassing since he's been court ordered to stay the fook away (long story. )

Gotta go. Orihime looks like she's going to start cooking.

*takes deep inhalation*

OKAY, EVERYBODY. LISTEN UP. We had more than 400 boxes of cold cereal and 200 loaves of unsliced baguettes we got last night for this week's breakfasts. How come we only have three and a half boxes of cereal and one baguette? Yuki, you are excused due to the fact you and your small family have your own boxes of Oaty Ohs for your son, unless you've been giving him Cocoa Rocks to snack on as well.

Sorry about that. When one gets industrial size boxes of cereal and they are eaten up almost overnight... *sigh* Logistics, logistics, logistics. At least there haven't been any more "guests" dropping in besides a few of Astral's affiliates (long story.) We're getting our deliveries by semi now (the store's loaning it to us while they're in the neighborhood.) All we have to do is go over and pick out the stuff we want, and the semi delivers to the back door (sure beats mechas wrecking the local roads.) Excuse me a moment...

Nekoyashiki, Wren you want to play with Yuki's little one? Ask him. Neither he nor his wife bite. Okay, I'll go with you to inquire.

Sorry, gotta go again. I'll let you guys know who the culprits of the Grand Gorge are later.
