Windows Vista
Does anyone know anything about Vista?
I know when a new operating system comes out, it usually takes a while to work out the bugs. Anybody got it? Is it worth having?

Re: Windows Vista
I had it on my new computer and went back to XP. It was using too much juice on my new comp. Not worth it in my opinion.

Re: Windows Vista
I haven't got it, but my sister's boyfriend has, and even he's had a few problems with it (he's a computer expert, too). That said, if they manage to make a version of it that even a novice like me could use, then I'd probably get it in a heartbeat.

Re: Windows Vista
I have not gotten it as of yet and really have no plans to here in the near future. I don't care to get things as soon as they come out. I have gotten burnt one to many times.

Yes, I agree with you in this. We usually wait on new things for the same reasons. Read some reviews and wait and see.

Re: Windows Vista
I'm not too keen on Vista to be honest, so I doubt I'll upgrade until I'm forced to. Mainly because my computer is four years old and although I've upgraded the memory, graphics card and hard drive since I bought it, it's still not good enough to run Vista. I hate the software-forced hardware upgrades, and I'm not too keen on Vista's copy protection either.

Good thinking here. I am much happier with my XP. Even with a new computer I could see it chunking along with Vista!

Re: Windows Vista
I have it but it is not really as eye popping as we all think, just too much graphics and useless features like transparent window background and multiscreens features... it is not much different from xp in terms of usability ... But honestly having used both i think xp is still better and vista does not have that extra to make it better yet............ but i am sure they will improve in the future..

Re: Windows Vista
I am using it right now. Its ok, not out standing. When sp1 comes out for it, the bugs might go.
