I agree. Laptops are the best, however, the only problem is some of them overheat which is bad.. Mine sometimes does, and I have to place like an icepack under it.
I prefer desktops. Sure, its handy to be able to carry a laptop around, but my desktop is way more powerful than my laptop, and I miss the speed (and graphics) when I'm away from home.
Desktops are usually more powerful...but I prefer laptops...even up to today this guy in my class challenged me in Fifa 07...to be played in May when exams are over!
have a desktop, will get my husband's laptop when he gets a new one this summer. Way more powerful than my desktop. but I'm using an iMac from 2002. His is a G4 iBook.
I'm addicted to the numeric keyboard of a desktop. I never, ever write numbers using the top row if a numboard is available. Besides, I have very short fingers and so prefer to have a tilted keyboard. I also can't live without a scroll button, and a mouse is essential.
I prefer laptops - I can't imagine being without my Apple MacBook Pro or Toshiba Libretto, however, when it comes to tasks such as using Azureus I use a desktop as I worry about my laptop overheating.
