Laptops are easier to buy lately. Even desktops change in more flat screens, so good news for users.

I use whatever I "inherit" (which are desktops.) I've used laptops, but I have a rather "heavy-hand" on the "mouse".

I am much more comfortable with a full size keyboard and a conventional mouse but I.m working with a laptop now because I'm going to spend a week in a hotel after I start my new job until my family gets down there and we get into the house. The laptop isn't so bad right now.

Deffo Lap tops. We have 2 but i see someone mentioned about not using a mouse with their lap top. We brought a smaller mouse to use and Plug in usb its great, ya can buy them for about £6 ish in Computer shops.
Lap tops are more Convienent and also you can take them and use them anywhere in the house if you have Wireless connection

As a tech, I prefer desktops, more airspace, greater reliability and much easier to repair/upgrade.
