It's worse than you think. Actually I've got two TV's. The big one in the dining room and the small one in the bedroom.

For those who have not seen 24 - you don't know what you're missing!

It's a fast-paced, action, thriller which focuses on a counter-terrorist unit based in LA. The series takes place in real time which means there are 24 episodes per season and each one is an hour long - therefore one entire season is effectively just one complete day in the life of the people who work at CTU.

Each season they face a new threat from terrorists. So far, we have had presidential assassination attempts, nuclear warheads and biological weapons. The latest series is the most realistic and controversial. There have been a string of small, yet forceful terrorist attacks across the USA for several months including bus / train / shopping mall bombings and the like. The US Government is panicking and has set up detention facilities for anyone who they think could possibly be involved with the terrorist network. The terrorists have demanded executions of certain Government agents and the release of prisoners. If their demands are not met, they will release nuclear weapons and the death toll could be in the tens of millions.

It's gripping, and I would recommend 24 to anyone who enjoys high quality, fast-paced action drama.

Sorry, Ian, but I don't have that seria on any of my available channels.

Any famous actor in it ?

On the other hand, all those movies with that reply "I have to call the President", really pisses me off.

I agree we have to get rid of terrorists, but some of those terrorists movies from Hollywood gave them new ideas how to attack US in real life. "I have a collegue at work who really believes every movie is from real life, go figure"

In my opinion, Hollywood should keep focus on aliens and romantic movies. Or on any other positive or moral action.

I once babysat for a woman with a 1st grader. She only allowed the child to watch cartoons and documentaries. Therefore, the child thought that any movie or special that was not animated was real life. It was pretty funny when I was watching a Steve Martin comedy special, she thought the skit with them roasting a watermelon over a campfire was real.
As for moral lessons, I would not look to Hollywood!!!!!!!
