Default elections

Elections are coming up here in the US, should be VERY interesting. The negative campaign strategies are sooooooo stupid. I'm voting for a candidate of another party because his opponent has been slinging mud, and there really isn't any mud to sling. crazy.

General election, electing senators and representatives to the US congress, as well as local elections - governors, state officials, city council, county commission, etc.
This will really affect the world, as the Republican hold on congress is very shaky right now. It could tip the balance and put Democrats in control of congress.
I've been raised a republican, voted that way for years, but not this year.

wyogal, I was under the distinct impression that the Democrats were slinging the mud this year after I heard that only Democrats were mentioning Bush in their campaign ads and you know that's not cause they like him. I'll vote for people that I only wish were honest, responsoble for their actions and cared about other people. Unfortunately anyone with those kind of qualifications probably don't have time to run for office. It takes time to be a good person.

Wisconsin has two referenda on the ballot tomorrow: one is concerning bringing back the death penalty, the other is a confusing one concerning "tightening" the definition of marriage (I don't know if any other state has either of these referenda on their ballots.) There have been predictions of loooooooooooooong lines at the polls because of the second one due to how it's written.

Oh, we also have several people running for office (I can't wait for the d@mn phone calls to stop.)

If he can get rid of the d@mn "Defining Marriage" amendment, I'll vote for Cthulhu asap!
