Default quiet here

Kind of quiet around here lately.
It's snowing here, lots of it. Probably not as much as what dumped on Buffalo, NY last week, though. Like we say in the West, "We can use the moisture!"
We got a new puppy last week. Got him from the city pound. He's part German shepherd, they say. The vet seems to think he's more border collie, a tri-color, mostly black with caramel markings on neck, chest and legs, with a little bit of white. Whatever he is, he's really smart! Paws aren't huge, so should be mid-sized. We have a park nearby that is a leash-free area for dogs. We go there quite a bit. We also walk him on a walkway there, with a leash.
Heard from son, made it to Japan. His shop is really busy this week, lots of deployments. (thanks, N. Korea)
Just made lasagna, using a new pasta that is low in carbs, but high in fiber. Not like the other whole grain pasta. Looks like white pasta. Can't find just regular whole grain lasagna pasta. Hope it's good.
gotta run

Snow ! Oh, no, no, no ! Not that damn snow again !

Gotta go, my Ce'Nedra looks at me with those huge eyes and ask to take care of her. She's right. She was all day long alone at home. *sigh*

oh dear! Hope you start feeling better.
Sun is out, snow is melting. Still snowy up on the mountain, though.

Here it's rain, rain, and rain. But today after 6 weeks, I've been finally able to sleep 7 hours in a row !

Great! Baby, right? When ours were babies, it was so much easier for my husband to get up in the middle of the night (only breast-fed one, and only for 6 weeks - not my thing). I would get up, bump into things, wake up husband anyway! He loved getting up and spending that middle of the night bottle time with the kids. I would sleep right through it!
Just got back from the dog park. New puppy. Our cat doesn't get too close, but doesn't get too far, either.

Yes, a baby girl who's so hungry she wakes up the whole family, cat included.
I breastfeed her (less work IMHO than preparing milk bottles) but my hubby usually goes up and bring her to bed to be fed, then back to her room. I'm terribly clumpsy even wide awake, so half sleepy with my ever present shadow (the cat) in my legs, it would be too dangerous to go get her myself.
New puppy ? We need pics then.

I'll need to learn how to attach them. I've reduced them for email, but they are still too big for this forum. Not sure about numbers when I export...

You can use a site like Imageshack.us and just post the link to the pics.
