Damn, I had spent so much money for the best cleaner sh*** and I didn't know I could use bicarbonate instead.

Re: home pollution - allergies/astma/exema etc
Thanks again. I really hope this strategy can help me first of all get rid of allergies and secondly, pay less for the cleaning stuff .
What do you use for the floor ?

Re: home pollution - allergies/astma/exema etc
I don't know the name in english, but in french it's "savon noir" - a kind of organic liquid soap based on olive oil - and hot water. Or regular broom and hoover.
"Savon noir" is quite fun because it's efficient and smells like sweet almonds. But be careful, there's 2 kinds of savon noir : one is for home cleaning, the other one is a soap used mostly in North Africa in hamman to clean body and hair.

I'll check for it. I hope I won't mix them.

BTW if you're highly allergic the second one is very soft for the skin and the hair. So even if you mix them you can benefit from your mistake.

Re: home pollution - allergies/astma/exema etc
for floors it depends on the floor really. on my tiled and vinal floors i use vineager, about half a cup to a litre of hot water, and for carpets i hoover or use the shampoo which i make of washing up liquid (greese cutters) and remove with diluted white vineager. keeps thins clean, removes greese =- even in the kitchen - and is mildly disinfectant. really, i use the vineager with just about everything.

For info, the "savon noir" (black soap ?) is to use on tile and more diluted on wooden floor.
But as soon as the little one is crawling on floor, I'll use vinegar on tiles in kitchen and bathroom. Thanks for the tips.

Re: home pollution - allergies/astma/exema etc
Most doors are already thief cat proof (including the fridge one). So we won't have that many doors to protect. But I think she'll be an active one quite soon. For a newborn she's not especially sleepy and she have already very alert eyes. I'm pretty sure she's in touch with the cat to check the spots and how their hands and paws can get rid of the obstacle.

Hmm. Half of my vinegar is gone. Are you sure it's less expensive with vinagar and bicarbonate ?
Oh, you've already have a conspiracy among them ?
