Thanks so much for the birthday greetings. Flowers...pastries...kittens...how could I ever ask for more?

Well, on second thought...any chance anyone can arrange for a few more hours in each day? I've been busy lately...work, trying to get an old, abandoned (not willingly abandoned, I might add) writing project up and running again, various other minor madnesses and interruptions...and I could use either a need for less sleep or some more hours in every day.

Anyway, thanks. My actual birthday was quiet...but if all goes the way it is supposed to, the party is on the 31st - dinner out with my best friends.

Dinner was wonderful. Just my mother and myself and my two best friends. The food was good and the company was better. A good time was had by all.
