rubella or german measels. that is one of the standard ones here. mumps can be dangerous as it can cause sterility in boys/men. here kids are done for
measels, mumps, rubella, tb, diptheria, whooping cought, tetnus, typhoid, menengitus, polio and hepatitis. but i'd rather do that than loose one of my kids.

Me too. But sadly I know for a fact menengitus one is not overall protective, lost a 14-years old friend to the disease although he was vaccinated against another version of it.

That's rubella in English, I think, Leto. When I was a kid, we called them the "red measles". I've never had that or regular measles, either; in fact, the only childhood disease I had was chicken pox.

Toxoplasmosis testing is mandatory in France before wedding and to redo it for each pregnancy. Even if you're already tested positive (which was my case). But anyway, my big belly is the excuse not to change the litter tray.

Been tested for cytomegalovirus today. More blood drawn from me. As a pregnant woman so far I've been tested for : AIDS, syphilis, CMV, hepatite B and C, some kind of disease you can get working with little kids, toxoplasmosis, rubella (again), complete blood group and rhesus, diabete (twice still none), general blood cells count, and several other things I forget. Roughly I'm playing lab rat once a month at least, not counting hospital visits, sonogram, echography and monitoring (the last two the baby seems not to like at it invades its privacy). Now, I could pass any med assistance exam with honors.
