Re: i'm having a heatwave
thats wierd, i suffer from migranes, but had an epidural with my daughter. i know natural is best, but keep an open mind, you have no idea how painful it can be. my gyny from my daughter used to say to me that he didn't understand why women would suffer pain ifthey didn't have to. i'm not pushing, just saying keep options open.

Re: i'm having a heatwave
As I had migraines during my pregnancy, no epidural for me, except if I need a C section or any other medical act performed. Doctor doesn't want to take the risk for me to welcome the baby with a migraine. I have no word in her decision. Before meeting her, I was going for natural as long as I could endure it, then require an epidural. Won't be possible .

Re: i'm having a heatwave
ouch, deepest sympathy. but i did it with lex, and yes, it was bad, but i survived
but don't take a pethanol, that i had with zoe before the epidural. it made me very ill and didn't remove the pain at all.

Re: i'm having a heatwave
Except paracetamol I don't take any non-prescribed painkillers. And frankly it's not really efficient. thanks for the advice anyway.

Re: i'm having a heatwave
I cannot believe people are still taking the underground under these temperatures... it is so hot!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!.... i took it last week, i nearly fainted from the extensive heat... how come even after all these year of intensive heat nothing has been done to have at least a small window/air passage that opens in front of wagons so that when they are moving some air comes in?????
Despise this much heat they were people in the underground with vest, coats, ties .... (just thinking about it makes me dizzy!!!)
TOO HOT!! TOO HOT!! TOO HOT!! TOO HOT!! TOO HOT!! TOO HOT!! TOO HOT!! TOO HOT!! TOO HOT!! TOO HOT!! TOO HOT!! TOO HOT!! TOO HOT!! TOO HOT!! TOO HOT!! TOO HOT!! TOO HOT!! TOO HOT!! TOO HOT!!

Re: i'm having a heatwave
Hot, humid, rain, severe thunderstorm watch/warning, just another ditto day.
Homemade blueberry/blackberry cheesecake frozen ice pops await me in the freezer, so I can't complain as much (I guess. )

Re: i'm having a heatwave
I just saw that it's 59 ° F here at 6:30 am which is pretty darn cold for July 4th. I was melting 2 days ago.

Re: i'm having a heatwave
Ah, yes, but just remember one thing: imagine how your non-human companions feel/felt. At least we can go to the kitchen, open the refrigerator/freezer and grab something cold to eat/drink (or turn on the air conditioner/fan.)
Also, we can sweat throughout our bodies, while most non-human companions can't regulate their temperature thus.

Mine herd is quite spoiled. When the weather is less than perfect, they go out do their business and come right back to the door. The long haired ones enjoy the air conditioning and the short haired one sits in the sun on the deck. Their biggest job is to guard the house, which they do brilliantly. They let us know when a butterfly has flapped its wings to loud in the yard next door and they help us hold down the furniture when it thunders. They are very much like human children. (If they weren't so cute and loyal we'd obviously get rid of them.)
Also, consider the phrase "working like a dog," and compare their job to yours. Who's really having a dog's life? And to quote the late George Carlin "What does a dog do on his day off? He can't just lie around. That's his job!"
