Guys, I need your advise. I want to prepare a thematic menu for my guests and I'm really out of imagination. It's like all the recepies are ordinary. Any suggestion is welcome !

Nesa, you gave us some interesting names of recepy. Can you give me some of them, easy to prepare ?

Thanks.

What's the theme? I have several cookbooks/cooking magazines/other resources I can quickly access if you'd like me to "go spelunking".

Alexa, you have email address, right? I have several theme party ideas from my Taste of Home magazine subscription (the magazine has an article just on themed parties.)

Anyway, when you wave goodbye to your third decade, we'll have a serious talk about age, okay?

Birthday ? Go for a color theme - white is classy, red and yellow festive, green very cool for summer. As it's summer now, it's easier to manage with mostly cold food. Got an excellent book for surprising people (in French) : Les nourritures extra-terrestre by René and Dona Sussan (http://www.amazon.fr/gp/product/2207...ance&n=301061). Or how to reproduce food described in sci-fi books with regular Earth ingredients. You could pick one or two recipes there - there's one to give color to hard boiled eggs quite fun. Or just let me know what is your favorite sci-fi book dish, and I'll send you a copy of the recipe.

The invitations said (I'm quoting the magazine here): "It really BUGGED me that we were unable to celebrate Adam's birthday in March, so instead of letting disappointment CREEP in, I have chosen to HOP to it. We hope you can creep, crawl, slither, hop or fly over to our house on August 5 for an evening of fun."
