Default Living well at any age

What do you think is the most important factor in living well? Health ? A balanced mental well being ? Health and a balanced mental well being ?Family or career satisfaction ? All of them ?

As per a CNN report, the life expectancy is now at a record 77.6 years, nearly double what was possible at the beginning of the last century. But are we necessarily living healthier lives ?

We, as a culture. are obviously more aware of many things that help longevity. We also probably ignore many of them because it's easy to wait 'til tomorrow to start exercizing and eating right. We do tweak certain things that, along with better medical treatment helps things out.

Ouch, I recognize myself in what you say. I should stop paying the gym, as I find all kind of reasons not to go to.

I don't know if we live better than our parents or grandparents. It's true, we have better conditions for medical treatments, more things to buy, it's easy to travel everywhere, we have TV, DVD, computers, cars, etc. Instead we have that "must be the best" and no time to be just happy with our families or friends. We always run for something.

I'll finally get back to the health club this week. I'm having back problems again and my doctor has prescribed physical therapy so the health club will help.

I think that an aveage including both genders. When I was quite young the male average life span was around 67 and the female was just barely 70. I think that is wonderful improvement. Personally my goal is 206, but I take a different approach than most.

I refuse to accept my own mortality. By the time I'm 206 I won't know the difference.

I was talking about both genders, IIRC here it's average for men 78 and for women 83-84.
Over 200, ok, but why precisely 206 and not 207 ?
