Just listened to a tornado warning on the TV. Fortunately it was for about forty-five minutes north of here. This is California, and I don't expect to have to deal with those things.

Sent an email to my Blacks, Jews and Black Jews instructor with a few articles about Luz Long, the German long (broad) jumper who got the silver medal at the 1936 Olympics (he was a better man than his country's leader, who snubbed the gold medalist because Jesse Owens was a "negro".)
The topic of our discussion tonight was on black/Jewish relations from the beginning of the twentieth century up to WWII and I mentioned Long (although I couldn't remember his name at the time.) The man looked like the model of the "perfect Aryan", but didn't act it. Phyllis Sidheuaine

Finished off one of my experiments (fake ground beef, crumbled fake bacon, real cheese, sliced olives, sliced mushrooms and some pizza sauce wrapped in pizza dough, then baked) and a few mint truffles [yeah, I'm a pig.

Sat in on a presentation my Russian ethnic studies professor did for a conference on ethnic studies here on campus. I was the only student in either room other than those helping with the conference. :redface:
