Make up a Purim Box for my Ukrainian friend/professor (it has a wide assortment of edible things including eight hamentashen [a tringular filled cookie that is "traditional" during Purim in the Ashkenazi community], a piece of chocolate w/ cinnamon cake, a piece of "aleksander torte" [seedless raspberry preserves sandwiched between two shortbread cookies, then topped w/ a lemon glaze], a couple pieces of chocolate candy and a few other things.)

Spoke with my only surviving uncle for close to 30 minutes. He kinda caught me up on family news (including the fact that one of my first cousins lost her husband to prostate cancer last September.)

I was working on compiling a list of all the films I've seen - or at least all the ones I remember seeing. It's a really long list - I'm up to 873 and I'm only through the "Q"s, using one of those big, thick Movie and Video guide books as a reference. I'm putting the list together to be the first entry in a new blog I'm planning that will focus on film.
