Are you addicted to the internet?

I'm definitely addicted to the internet to some degree.

Funny, though - I went away on holiday with the kids for 5 days the other week - no PC and no internet. And addicted to both as I am, I didn't actually miss either all that much.

But now I'm back I'm online constantly again.

Is that a bad thing, though?

Yes, my name is dwndrgn and I've been addicted since 1995. I don't go crazy if I can't get it but I sure miss it a lot!

Well, like Brian, when I leave the computer for a while it's actually relief. But when I get back...it's part of me.

I am addicted to the net first thing i do in the morning and last thing at night

I cant get away from it
Oh and brian when I went on holiday last year my parents decided to extend it for 3 days and I actually cried!

Now that ladies and gentlemen is an addiction

My parents hate it But my argument is I don't drink I don't smoke and I dont take drugs so why cant i go on the net :P

That's the thing - at least it's a harmless addiction.

Probably much cheaper, too, ;D

Well, so long as I remember the real world it's mostly harmless.

Definitely got to watch the screen brightness, though - especially at night when I can't switch the light on, because the baby sleeps in the same room.

I always check it out before I go to work and, usually, after I get back. So, yes, guilty M'lud. I am addicted.

It's the wealth and diversity of information that fascinates me so much. One of my favourite places is the Hubble telescope site...some of those pictures just
make you feel humble.

The PC is in our bedroom, so I have to wait until my girlfriend first. I'm up with the kids anytime after 5am - usually around 6am though - and then am able to get online around 7:45. After that I try to keep on intermittently throughout the day.

It's become a form of social outlet - which is great while my children are still very young and very demanding.

More than that, though, is that I'm creating a network of backlinks to my sites, to help them rise up in search engine rankings. Any excuse, really.

Confession time-I am terribly addicted to my forums and net friends, can't do without them. I did have to go for as long as four days without any net, back in June, and it was horrifying!!
