There's water on Mars and Europa (Jupiter moon). Must have some water elsewhere too in the universe

As of Earth atmosphere, yes there's water. Without water no clouds.

they taught me at school that there are 7 heavens above us.

sorry for my bad spelling ((( skies ))) I meant the plural of sky.

You mean a religious school. If we have to speak about skies, there is one for each planet (if life is present and inteligent beings looks for the stars) and only one if you consider the Universe as a whole. If we have to speak about heavens, I'm afraid this is not the appropriate site for religion. I mean we can speak about religion in general, but if you are interested in a more fundamental research there are other sites available.

Technally your school is wrong, check here : http://wings.avkids.com/Book/Atmosph...layers-01.html and here http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Earth's_atmosphere about Earth sky. The number of layers varies with the object so it's different around Mars (very thin one) and Europe as an example.
