Bach rescue remedy, anyone tried it ?
Ok, you all know that I've got Vogons as in-laws. As it's harder and harder for me to deal with them, and as I don't want to put an ultimate on my dear s.o. (Me or your family), I've tought about trying Bach's Rescue Remedy http://www.bachflower.com/rescue_remedy.htm to help reduce the stress before having to meeat them. Any one of you aver tried it ?

I've heard some people say it's great but I've never tried it.

Sorry. I never heard about it. But I found an italien site with more infos. I have doubts about the effect of a cream, but if you use the essence in the bathroom, should be relaxing.

Well, I came, I see and they lived (even if the kids were hellish and my sister-in-law is still the stupidiest cow who ever walked this earth). So I guess the thing worked. Or was it the brandy in it ?
An interesting thing from the link you provided Alexa :

Animali: Cani e gatti, ad esempio, prenderanno le nostre stesse dosi, criceti e canarini la metà, cioè 2 gocce, invece cavalli, mucche ed asini, 10 gocce in un secchio d'acqua. Ripetere ogni 15 minuti se necessario. Le gocce si mischiano nell'acqua o nel cibo dell'animale.Pets : Cats and dogs take the same dose as us, small ones (sorry can't translate exactly here) and birds half the dose (i.e 2 drops) and horses, mulets (don't know the english word here) and donkeys, 10 drops. Mix the product in the water or the food.

It seems to work well to calm down nervous cats. Better than Feliway in some cases.

Re: Bach rescue remedy, anyone tried it ?
You mean you've tried the cream ?
I really don't know if I can find these products in Québec. I'll check.
I believe "mucche" means cows.
My version of translation:
Dogs and cats, for example, will take the same doses, criceti ( ?) and canaries the half, that's 2 drops, instead horses, cows and asses, 10 drops in a water bucket. To repeat every 15 minutes if necessary. Mix the drops in the water or the food of the animal.
*I cheat a bit with a translate link *

Re: Bach rescue remedy, anyone tried it ?
No, I've tried the elixir to drink. 3 drops before the dread situation.
Your translation may be better than mine, as I keep mixing Italian, dialecti and occitan. When I have to say cows to my family there I use "Biou" (the occitan and dialect version).

Re: Bach rescue remedy, anyone tried it ?
It's a language spoken mostly in south France and some part of Northen Italy and Spain. Throughout all medieval era, it was one of the 2 main French languages : the one spoken by trobadours. It's another derivative of Latin. Here's some info : http://www.aber.ac.uk/~merwww/english/lang/occitan.htm

For more info, several Northern American university (including NYC but not only - maybe one in Montreal too) teach it (it's pretty easy if you already master a Latin language.
