So interresting topic, although I don't know any proverbs in english ..
So I'll bring you a french proverbs I like so much :

" Les femmes des uns font le bonheur des autres ", by gustave flaubert.
it means " The wifes of one's men do the pleasure of others " (but it's more beautiful in french)

I read this one on our communal laundry room in the dorms:-

"Old Chinese Proverb: Man go to bed with itchy bum... wake up with smelly finger"
