O.K. you said what about the one who don't believe in God.

suppose you found a watch in the middle of the desert. what would you conclude? would you think someone had dropped the watch? or would you suppose that the watch came by itself?
of course, no sane person would say the watch just happened to emerge from the sand. all the intricate working parts could not simply develop from the metals that lay buried in the earth. the watch must have a manufacturer.
if a watch tells an accurate time, we expect the manufacturer must be intelligent.

but what else tells an accurate time? consider the sunrise and the sunset. their timings are so strictly regulated that scientists can publish in advance the sunrise and sunset in your daily newspapers, but who regulated the timing of the sunrise and the sunset? if watch cannot work without an intelligent maker, how can the sun appear to rise and set with such clockwork regularity? could this appear by itself?

consider also that we benefit from the sun only because it remains at a safe distance from the earth. a distance that averages 93 million miles. if it go much closer, the earth would burn up. and if it got too far away, the earth would turn into an icy planet making human life here impossible. who decided in advance that this was the right distance? could it just happen by chance?

without the sun, plants would not grow. then animals and humans would starve.

DID THE SUN JUST DECIDE TO BE THERE FOR US?

we Muslims believe in one God who create everything, and we believe in all messengers of God without any discrimination among them, all scriptures and revelations of God, the angels of the God, the Last Day of Judgement, the timeless knowledge of God and His power to plan and execute His plans and nothing could happen in His Kingdom against His Will.
I remember an old story says:
there were a debate between a muslim and a group of people who disbelieve in God.
they said to the muslim there is no God and the nature is the mother of everything, and it( the nature) emerged by itself. and we(the disbelievers) challenge you to proof the concept of the existence of the God. then they made an appointment. then the disbelievers came exactlly at the time, but the Muslim didn't come yet. then they laughed and said that the Muslim couldn't proof the existence of the God. after a short period of time, the Muslim arrived. then they said: what caused you to delay? the Muslim answered: I couldn't find a boat to take to the other side of the the river ( the place of the appointment ). then I sat waiting for a boat. after a while, I saw a group of woods joined together and made a boat, then I came to you by it. then they said: are you crazy how could a boat emerge by itself. then he said: ask yourselves, you couldn't believe that a boat emerge by itself, so how could you believe that the whole emerged by itself. then they became muslims.

so if someone don't believe in the existence of the God, how can I give him an answer which lead him to know if he is a man or a woman?

I'm sorry I think you feel sleepy now .

Simple, this said someone is still either a man or a woman...

Don't think God - wheither you believe in It or not - has something to do with the way someone feels he/she belongs to his/her gender.

Certainly in the UK, and certainly in the younger generations, the conventional wisdom as to what a man should do and what a woman should do is slowly breaking down. There are of course certain biological functions and physical attributes which will always make men and women fundamentally different, but I like to compare my generation (I am *just* over 30) to my fathers, and I can see huge differences in attitude towards relationships, responsibilities and the way that men and women interact. For example, when (and if) my wife and I have children, I would have no problem staying at home and looking after the children (a traditional female role) if my wife was say earning more money than me, and we both felt it was right. I couldn't imagine my father saying that at all .....

This will sound very chauvinistic, but my ability to see my life as something that isn't dependant on the state of being in a relationship with someone seems to be the main respect in which I differ from most women I know. I think my ability to live alone comes so easily because of my gender. Women seem to have a harder time breaking out of the relationship-dependance trap.

Princess Ivy, could you define what you mean by gender. I mean, there is gender and there is gender. One of my instructors was researching this one language that has five different genders in its vocabulary: male/male, male/female, (?)*, female/male and female/female.

* (?) = a gender that is hard to explain in English since we don't have anything like it in our tongue.

Ivy was working on the biological genders : male or female.
For the record, as Alexa knows, in French there's only two gender for nouns. A table is female and a cupboard is male.
