The Discussion Board is a place to consider the outer world at large, and the many issues that are presented, whether of current affairs, politics, religion, etc.

However, please note that this is a place for discussion - a calm and respectful exchange of opinions. Although debate may occur, please do ensure that it is conducted as calmly as possible. In simple terms, this is *not* a place to engage in flame wars!

If I may add something - disagreement on political issues is to be expected. After all, we all have our different world views, political bias, and ways of approaching political issues.

And I must emphasise that I do not expect people to agree with my own position - or that of site staff (Moderators) - whatever that position may be.

My concern is to simply ensure that where political discussion occurs, that it occurs in a respectful and friendly environment.

So far, it has been very successful in that way. It is simply my wish and hope that it remains so.

Welcome, we all hope you'll appreciate your stay, but let me introduce you to most things around the place.

What is Freecafe ?
- A place to discuss, chill out and play with people from all around the web and the world.
- A message board. Due to different time zone and time spent by all of us IRL far from our keyboard, replies to your posts won't be instantaneous. And it will be read by anyone (unless you use private messaging). Think about it as a big black board where anyone of us write their thought with a chalk on.

What is not Freecafe ?
- A chat room. If you want instantaneous conversation, please use appropriate sites or softwares.
- A dating place. We're here to discuss among friends, we don't plan to find the man or the woman of our dream/lust here. Once again, if this what you are looking for, this is not the good site.
- A political place. As we're a friendly international board, we don't back up any ideology/religion or propaganda. Politics and beliefs discussions are welcome, but flaming and attacks of other posters (or potential posters) will get you banned.
- A mobile phone. As you access here from a computer, we assume you have a complete keyboard. Please don't write your post as if you were sending a text message from your cell phone. Each nationality has its own abbreviations, forcing foreigners to spend too many time translating your post before answering is considered as rude. As is typing a whole post in CAPS or in a color which is hardly seen on a white background.
- An advertising agency. Spam will erased and spammers ban on sight. If you think about promoting you work (or anything else) on this board, please contact Princess Ivy or I (Leto) first to see if it's possible and how.
