do you click links posted in threads? or are you decerning about trusting just anyone? i've recently gone to catch up at a forum i used to frequent, and noticed that a few of the members there would post links infected with spyware and viruses on purpose, to catch unwitting people out. this for a joke or to teach people a lesson. i realised that i generally don't click on links, unless they have been posted by someone that i know and trust. i was wondering how other people surf safely.

Use a Mac, and clean it on a regular basis.
And on PC, I've got hardware and software firewalls, antivirus and anti-spyware so it stays rather clean...

The only times that I will click on a link in a post is if it was posted by someone I trust, or if it is a link to something like an online newspaper website that I recognize.
