I do believe that mom was hoping for a prissy little girl who liked frills and ruffles and dolls and whatnot. She got a pretty boy :biggrin: who was happier climbing trees, catching frogs, playing sports...and never, ever wants to wear dresses or skirts.
What's really funny is that my mom is 5'2" and a girly-girl, I'm 5'11" and a tomboy but my aunt is 5'11" and a tomboy and her daughter is 5'4" and a girly-girl...almost as if we were switched at birth.

Back to the original topic - what about stuff like the Babysitter's Club? Never had a taste for it myself but many love it.
