Default online delivery

one of the easiest tools to make my life easier is online shopping and ordering. it has it's disadvantages, dilevery costs, not being able to check the quality of fruit and veg before delivery, but on the whole its easiest. i don't have to drag ratty kids through grocery stores which are overheated and over crowded and blaring out loud music. bulk shopping is usually for online, small things and specialist shops, like clothing for my daughter who decided to GROW tis summer, i still take to the villiage. what are your habits?

I buy big grocery refill online (litter, water, milk, etc...) It's easier and the delivery men put it up into my lounge. I buy the veggies and fruit at the market (still plenty of them in Paris) and meat from an hallal butchery a tad far from here but with very good meat for very cheap price.
Also buy things on Amazon (books and DVD mostly). For clothes, I prefer to shop but it's usually a very fast procedure, as I'm not into shopping.

I use the only delivery only for books. For the rest, the commercial centre is right in front of my eyes. It's easier to choose by myself. Besides, I enjoy shopping as long as I can keep myself spending too much.

Maybe that's why I'm in a shop frenzy trance each time I go to London. Or is it because there's no more Mark & Spencer nor Boots in France ?

Was it Napoleon who called Britain a "nation of shopkeepers...?" He obviously forgot to add the word 'rude'

I wish I could get my groceries online! However, we use tons of coupons and shop at different places (including the Navy exchange) to get the best prices so we can get what we need with our budget. Grocery shopping online just doesn't have the advantages for me.

I love shopping for everything else online though. If I could afford to buy it that is...

I think I've literally spent in total, $80 of my own personal money online since 1999. Usually everything I buy online is covered by gift certificates that I earn through points programs. It is a slow way to shop but it sure is cheap
