Opened in 1981 it weas the longest single-span suspension bridge in the world for 17 years.

Hello, everybody, I'm back again.
My guess is tht is so caled "Galloping Gertie", the First Tacoma Narrows bridge built by Leon Moiseyeff and ruined in 1940 due to strong oscillations that happened as result of mistakes of its design. So, until 1980 it might have preserved in such a poor condition befor local powers decided to build a new bridge.
