my cats eat around the meat . simplest thing is to coat it in butter, open the mouth (a finger at the upper ends of the mouth on each side does the trick), drop the pill on the back of the tongue and close the mouth, it slips down very easily without causing undue stress. i volunteered at the animal anti cruelty league as a kid and learned that trick there.

Re: Cats thread
You know I adopted two adult cats in the same time. I'm still worried about Atchoum. She's too thin. I bought some cat treats to spoil her, but the problem is she is very sensible. First of all she prefers dry food. Second, she doesn't eat much. I bought some fish food special for cats and she didn't like it at all. I had the impression she'll choke only with the smell of the food. Instead, Wilson is ready to eat almost everything. Question: how can I feed one and keep the other away ? Keep her in another room, the time Atchoum eats ? She has a strong character. When she wants something from me, she won't let me leave. Stuburn cat, like her mistress.

Re: Cats thread
don't worry babe, just make sure that there is always food down. neither cat will let itself starve, they just don't. i go against vets advice and feed on demand. i always leave dry food down (fred prefers it) and give them wet at mealtimes only. also some cats don't like fish, rather like catnip. fresh chicken always works, as does ham

Re: Cats thread
Chicken worked with both of them. Fish worked only for Wilson. I thought she won't stop to eat anymore. I just want to add some weight for Atchoum.
Atchoum began to play with the toys only yesterday. I suppose, this is a good news. *sigh*
I began to understand more in their language.

Re: Cats thread
yes, they are
Wilson seems to like my chair in front of my computer. She gave me an unhappy mutter when I took the chair back.

while my mother was making her lunch today, she left the fridge open for a moment. during that time my set removed a chicken drumstick which he felt his entitlement for lunch

Re: Cats thread
I spoke today with my collegue about the food they usually gave to the cats. They received the same food, vet diet for years. I think the problems with Atchoum derived from that strict diet. She really scares me when she looks like she cannot breath or ready to vomit. I wish she could do like your set.
