Default elizabeth george

here's an odd case of affairs, i enjoy the Lynley mysteries, on television, but i must admit to finding the books a little wanting. I find them to be very drawn out and quite frankly a little boring.
Anyone else read her/like her/hate her?

Her book "For the sake of Helena" still waits on my shelf to be read. I might read it this week.

I love the books and find the tv series to not be quite up to snuff...the main reason for this is probably because of the casting of the role for Haverly. They managed to miss her character almost completely. I also found that unless you know a great deal of the backstory, you can't follow it too well. I discovered this while watching with hubby who knows how to read but just can't get himself to do so. He was a bit lost in understanding the motives behind what Lynley and Havers say and do...
