Default DA VINCI CODE

Well, for those interested in the story of Dan Brown's the movie should be ready for May 2006. The shooting began last week in Paris under the direction of Ron Howard.

The rumours about Tom Hanks playing professor Robert Langdon are confirmed. He has Audrey Tautou in the role of the brilliant crypthograph.

I have a feeling the movie will have a huge audiance like "The Passion of Christ." And Vatican has not finished its fight against the code.

Its a fictional story set in a true environment.
A good story, but hardly evidence of a Vatican Conspiracy

I just hope Tom Hanks doesn't ruin it. I've pretty much disliked all his roles since The Burbs.

Well, Vatican feels threatened by the book and the movie. You know, there are people who really believe real life is like in the movie. And those with no religious education or not a strong one, will have doubts.

I'm not sure Hanks is a good option either. But I prefer to wait and see how he manages the role. Who knows ? Maybe he can surprise us.

And Jean Reno will be in it too. One more good reason not to watch this.

Don't you like Jean Reno, Leto?
Well, how many interesting writings appear to fall into shade of Dan Brown's novel only because his agents have money to promote his book worldwide! All right, we'll see.

No, and I don't like Audrey Tautou too, although I plan to see Les Poupées russes with her soon.

Well, Leonardo was a great inventor...
The best book by Dan Brown is his first from Langdon's series, Angels & Demons portraying modern Rome in the light of Da Vinci's architectural memorials as the background of the grim events related with the death of the Pope of Rome and misterious resurrection of Illuminati. Remember Eco? The same motifs.

The great Umberto Eco. If only 25 % of Dan Brown readers were lured by his book to discover Eco books (in J'ai Lu Folio for you Alexa), his Da Vinci Code wouldn't be such a bad thing.

I read Da Vinci Code by curiosity and I'm sure there are many like me. You know that's very touchy to affirm Jesus was married and with Mary Madeleine ! Catholic church lost many believers during centuries and a publicity like Dan's Brown book and movie is not a good thing for their efforts to keep people under control. I must admit I have no respect for those who accepted an ex SS as a pope. And I cannot forgive them for all the crimes during the inquisition period. You have the right to say what you want about Dan Brown, but I cannot cry for chatolics church having problems dealing with.

It's an easy reading, like all the Sandra Brown.

I read Angels & Demons, too. The best of Dan Brown's is Digital Fortress.

I saw a few episodes of "Les Poupées russes". I'm afraid I have no patience any more for series.

Those who want quality, read Eco. Those who want an easy lecture on the buss or metro will have someone as Brown.

Alexa, AFAIK "Les Poupées russes" is a movie not a TV show : http://imdb.com/title/tt0409184/

And who mentionned Catholic church in the Dan Brown critics ? Not me, I only think the thing is poorly written and certainly not accurated as he stated.

P.S. : Regarding current pope, Jeunesses Hitlériennes and SS have nothing in common... I don't think he chose to belong to them.
