Default Humour and the EU

For the starter: Switzerland is soing to sign Shengen Treaty, the next step is accession to the EU? Isn't that a joke?
Stereotypic view of heaven and hell in the context of the United Europe:

In heaven:
Administration is British
Equipment is German
Cuisine is French
Police is Swiss
Lovers are Italians
Then what is hell?
In the hell:
Administration is French
Equipment is Italian
Cuisine is British
Police is German
Lovers are Swiss

So these are typical stereotypes. All nations in the world have grown such a stereotypes that mostly concern their neighbours. You probably heard that British are haugty, Germans are pedantic, Russians are drunkards, Japanese are always smiling and bowing, Jews are greedy, Italians are too talkative, French are inventive in love affairs etc.
What can you say on whether these stereotypes, if all of them can be justified, or not? Do you have any funny stories that concern national stereotypes. Let's lough together.

From personnal experience, French are not the most inventive in those love affairs. And frankly the Romance reputation of the country is highly overexagerated.

In my private hell, Cuisine is German and Lovers is British (sorry guys).
As Ivy I would like in my personal heaven Swiss dealing with administration and British with the Police.

stereoypic opinion is that the British cuisine is not tasty. You may also prove otherwise by posting you recipe from the British cuisine that you find extremely delicious.
