Re: Pic of the day
That is very cool. Or at least it would be, if weren't having a bit of inner ear trouble (due to allergies and the sinus congestion that it causes) and having things spin from time to time.
Nah. It's cool anyway.

Re: Pic of the day
It would be great if I could sneeze. Then my sinuses would clear out, and not back up into my ears and give me vertigo. Fortunately, it's positional in nature and only rellly bothers me when I'm lying down or when I move my head too fast. And, once my ears balance out after I lay down, or turn over in bed, things quit spinning.
But there's one problem living where I do...the crap I'm allergic to never really goes away because there's so much agriculture around and because it's a fairly temperate climate.

Re: Pic of the day
for me it was hell when i lived on the coast in a sub tropical climate. i was alergic to all the pollen. in fact, after i moved, when i went back to visit, there was a certain point which we would cross and i'd just start sneezing again. now i just get in spring and autumn.

Re: Pic of the day
Even though I live in the city now, it doesn't really help. You see, the county I live in is considered to be the number one agricultural county in the world, with 250 different crops harvested. There are nearly 2 million acres farmed here. As just one example, 85 percent of the raisins produced in the US come from Fresno County. I'm allergic to them. And there is one crop or another being harvested all year long, including oranges, one species of which are harvested all winter. So far, those don't bother me. But, as you can see, there's all kinds of pollen running around, and mold too, which I'm also allergic to. Usually, the worst time for me is in the fall, when the raisins are out drying - they lay them on paper trays in the field to dry in the sun, and besides raisins you get mold when you do that.
Whenever we leave the valley and then come back, as soon as we get back into the valley, my nose stops up, my sinuses get congested, and I get miserable. And, you know, I was never allergic to anything until we moved here. It really sucks.

Re: Pic of the day
they do build up over time. but we've had a terrible year for hayfever and last year. apparently its an offshoot of the foot and mouth crisis. because there are less ruminants eating the grass here is therefore more pollen. whatever, it sucks big time. even my mother, who has never suffered hayfever is sneezing all over the place (and finaly getting a taste of what i've gone through my whole life)
