Default Free will vs Eutopia

which would you prefer to have, a society in which we have free will and choices yet is imperfect, or a eutopian society in which everything is wonderful, and yet we have no say or will to choose anything different?
as posed by the social contract and demonstrated in huxleys brave new world.

I vote for a freewill society. I like to do what I want whenever I want. If something is imperfect than you can complain about it and ask for a changement. Those who like to complain (oh my there are a lot of them!) are happy to complain and those who like to ameliorate things are happy to find solutions.

In a perfect society I'll die of boring and frustration. You know, I'm from the 2nd category above.

yep, i think our vision of the perfect society has changed over time. which i'm not sure is all that good. we have all become so driven by self interest.

There were several attempts to imagine a Perfect State, several Eutopias, all attempts to carry into effect such a Just State ended up in horrible Distopias. Remember Oliver Cromwell and his Commonwealth, French Revolution (a statue of Liberty on Place Greve covered with blood of guillotinned victims - that was the bloodthirsty goddess indeed), bloody Russian Revolution and Civil War etc.
Let people live the way they live. I vote for Evolution based on free will and I hate revolutions. All these Eutopias only proved an old truth: "The road to hell i paved with good intentions".

Free will with the usual limit to freedom - do not do to others what you wouldn't want them to do to you.
