Only book I've received for Chrismas was Ninety Nighty tales, and it's a present for Fiona. I'm just the reader.

Starting Hog Father by Terry Pratchett. I would say "bof" for the beginning, not it's best I think; but who knows, I may change my mind by the end of the story...

This one was a good surprise, I'm talking about the books on my wish list.

Currently reading Cat Psion by Joan D Vinge. Quite good book but her telepath hero is not really credible.

Moonflow, you'll change your mind. Or maybe you would appreciate better the Watch themed books as "Guards ! Guards !"

I know them
They are not my favourite's (much prefer those with Esmeralda Weatherwax) but they are hilarious. Concerning Hog Father, I didn't change my mind (j'ai pas accroché) , it's not what I would have expected (is this good English? ) after all I've heard about it. Tant pis, c'est la vie

I've been reading Koji Suzuki's excellent trilogy of ghost stories, Ring, Spiral and Loop, and I'm about to start re-reading Grace James' Japanese Fairy Tales.

Just finished a chapter for my Hmong ethnic studies class and I did some work on a book on the Cosa Nostra (sp?), but I didn't get the name of the author.
