Martial Arts Forum

Hi Everyone, this is a shameless pimp, especially as it's my first post on this forum

Brian suggested that I take the time to write a bit about a new forum that I’ve launched on my website, dedicated to the discussion of Martial Arts and anything related to them.
There are already some the Chronicles regulars posting there as well as a gathering of other people from around the world.
The forum is still very young, it has only been going a week but already has some dedicated posters. I am hoping that anyone interested will come along and help to form a vibrant and involved community.

Martial Arts Forums

The forum exists to enable the exchange of ideas, discussion of history and culture as well as specific exchange of martial arts ideas and of course general chat.
If you’re interested in Martial Arts please pay us a visit, you don’t need to have trained at all, a simple interest in martial arts is always welcome.

Some of the more serious topics of discussion at the moment include films such as The Thirteenth Warrior, books such as The Art of War and unusual topics such as Japanese Death Poetry.
There are also more frivolous topics in the General Chat section such as Fluffy the Penguin goes Skiing, and A Shrink Wrapped Car. There are also style specific chats in the Open Style Forum.

Simply put, if you have the interest, the time and the inclination please feel free to come along and join in the conversation.

My own specific areas of interest lie in Koryu and Gendai Bu Jutsu, as well as modern striking arts and weapons techniques/training.

How am I not surprized that Tsu has a martial arts forum here, too. LOL. I am an orange belt in Ishyun Ryu. I guess we have a little in common. Been doing it for like two years, though lately, I have faultered because our teacher is not clicking with me. He cares more about telling stories and picking favorites than anything else. So, anyway....

I detest teachers like that, fortunately I have 3 junior instructors as well as myself, so when the students have an issue they always have someone to turn to
