I'm a smoker... normally Nobel or Camel, but since I am in Dublin and they make me pay 6'5euros for a misery box(and they dont let me smoke in a bar! ) i smoke Drum, good Drum.
And i never ever took acids, mushrooms, weed... whatever. nevermind.

I worked with a guy who wore the patch on top of smoking (apparently the patch didn't work, he had already spent the money for them, so continued wearing them until the box was empty). Haha, needless to say those days were quite productive for him given the level of nicotine constantly in his body.

Oh jeez man. I have heard if you smoke and wear the patch it leads to a higher addiction. Did he end up smoking more after the patches were gone?

I don't mind people smoking as long as they don't do it around me, because I have the tendency to either fan awake the smoke with my hands or turn away, which may appear to be rude or snobby to smokers, I know, but at the same time, I don't really want to passive smoke... I'm extremely paranoid about getting cancer...

Babe, I think smoking while wearing a patch is a pretty good sign of hyper adiction (if there is such a thing). I don't realy think that you get varying degrees of adiction. like being pregnant you are or you aren't. If you have an adictive personality (or obsesive compulsive disorder) you may become adicted more quickly, but the strength of the adiction is not measurable.
As for smoking while wearing a patch, an ex-boyfriend of mine did it, and he became very very ill. nicotine is a poison after all, and such huge doses just poisoned his system. he was very lucky to survive it.

For anyone who wants to pack up smoking I recommend those nicorette inhalers.. they helped me and her wean ourselves off the weed.. the thing is that the patches just give ya a hit.. but the inhalers let you do something.. after all, smoking is an activity! So fiddling and messing and puffing on them does help with the other side of it too... try and see...

Of course.. I am thinking that the next step in inhaler technology will be adding a non toxic smoke.. just to make you feel more at home while giving up smoking of course.. a bit of harmless smoke effect and a good hit of nicotine... maybe later add another drug of choice to the nicotine... now we are talking! If that is not a sure fired business success I dont know what is!!

People who smoke whilst wearing patches are running a real risk of getting nicotine poisoning.
