Re: Who's a smoker?
No, I object to standing in a queue, with some smoker stood in front or behind, puffing away and getting the smoke blown in my face... It is the height of inconsiderate behaviour... They should go off somewhere away to enjoy their habit... I don't see why I should have to put up with it...

Behind you and smoke blown on your face ? Are you reinventing physics' laws ?
And in my case, would be on your torso. You wouldn't beat a petite lady who by just lighting a cigarette had make the bus come (that's my mutant power). Anyway, queuing for the bus ? Must be a UK habit, here it's more waiting as a Ankh-Morpork mob and trying to get in by every doors (including the exit ones).

Re: Who's a smoker?
indeed, I know an English girl who's studying with me here in France and she told me recently that waiting for a bus in England is usually done by standing in an ordered queue. Not like in France where there's a mob crowding the bus stop and storming the bus the second the doors open (with no consideration for those who want to get out the bus).
hehe, I got really impolite one day when I wanted to get out and I guy put his foot in the bus, blocking my way and staring at me as if he did not understand what I wanted from him.

Re: Who's a smoker?
I was a smoker until my wife got pregnant. I have found it very difficult to quit. Before I smoked Lucky's. So far though, with the patch to start me out, I haven't been smoking now for 6months. I loved it and all but I know it wouldn't be good for the kid, nor for me for that matter. I quit mainly because of the baby though.

Re: Who's a smoker?
@ Sira, yes this is ennerving, even more in subway when the train stay for less than a minute in the station.
@ hodor, plan to quit (temporary) if I have a kid someday during pregnancy and his/her first months (allaitement but I don't know the word in english). After that, won't smoke around the kid but will certainly continue to have a cig or two occasionnaly.
@ Princess, thanks to confirm that British are still human beings and not fleshy version of Kryten.

when i was pregnant with my first i couldn't smoke. the smell made me throw up. my husband had to smoke outside. we were very careful of smoke around our kids as babies as well. why should they suffer for our additction?
