Default The James Lipton/Bernard Pivot/Marcel Proust quizz

We may not be actors, nor comedians, but we're writers and/or readers, so it's our turn to answer this 10 questions quizz :

What is your favorite word?

What is your least favorite word?

What turns you on creatively, spiritually or emotionally?

What turns you off?

What is your favorite curse word?

What sound or noise do you love?

What sound or noise do you hate?

What profession other than your own would you like to attempt?

What profession would you not like to do?

If Heaven exists, what would you like to hear God say when you arrive at the Pearly Gates?

What is your favorite word? Vacation, because I always am ready to go on one.

What is your least favorite word? Can't, because it is so defeatist. Like an old neighbor of mine used to say, "Can't never could do nothing." (She was from Texas, and talked that way.)

What turns you on creatively, spiritually or emotionally? writing something that makes someone react, makes them think (which they have to do, to react).

What turns you off? People who try to tell me that I shouldn't try something because I might not succeed. That's a horrible way to look at things.

What is your favorite curse word? "****" Edit: Since it didn't even give first and last letters, may I say that a synonym for my favorite curse word is "excrement".

What sound or noise do you love? A chainsaw. No, seriously. My dad had a firewood business when I was young, so it was a sound I grew up with. Now, whenever I hear a chainsaw, it makes me think of my childhood, which was very happy and secure.

What sound or noise do you hate? People raising their voices in anger.

What profession other than your own would you like to attempt? Film director.

What profession would you not like to do? Anything in the health care field. I'm terribly phobic of hospitals or doctor's offices or anything similar.

If Heaven exists, what would you like to hear God say when you arrive at the Pearly Gates? You did a good job. Now go and relax in the library.
