oh too true lace... for example country music. I can't believe I used to listen to country. That's what you get for living in the bumpkin part of the usa as a kid though.

Did you manage to check out Rammstein, Hodor? I must confess, due to your enthusiasm I went down to the music store & had a listen to Slayer. Decent sound, but God/Devil etc lyrics aren't my thing. I ended up buying Tool who I have not heard much of. Undecided as yet on the verdict.
As for favourite song, the one I choose is because of the emotional attachment to it.
Don't Stop Me Now by Queen. My wife & I heard this song on a dukebox in a pub after the worst day in our lives, & it lifted us up, don't know why, but it did, & we both remember this song for this reason to this day & likely till the day we aint here no more. Not the greatest musically or lyrically, but music is about what it means to us more than anything else I think.

I agree with you, Ashen, Don't Stop Me Now is a great song. I love Queen. But you have to hear the version done by The Vandals (on the album Hollywood Potato Chip). Not sure you'd love it as much as I do, but it cheers me up whenever I'm feeling down.

I did check out rammstein. Not bad.. a bit technoish but not bad. I am a huge Tool fan, though my favorite album was their first. Disturbed is good on their first album as well. I am a big fan of Machinehead too.
