Reality or illusion
Reality or illusion
Everyone perceives the same thing diferently acording to your own subjective experience.
Your senses have many diferent neural corelates that do their jobs somewhat separatly
rather then one single one that produces one unified conscious stream of data which would
cause a (sensory overload). Instead, at any time a whole lot of diferent things are going
on in our brain at one time. A unified conscious stream of separate neural corlates which
can be recalled into a memory, an ilusion of richness and continuity that is real to you. Imagine you are
reading this magazine when suddenly you realise that the clock is striking. You hadn't
noticed it before, but now that you have, you know that the clock has struck four times
already, and you can go on counting. What is happening here? Were the first three “dongs”
really unconscious and have now been pulled out of memory and put in the stream of
consciousness? If so were the contents of the stream changed retrospectively to seem as
though you heard them at the time? Or what? You might think up some other elaborations to
make sense of it but they are unlikely to be either simple or convincing. A good example
is the “cutaneous rabbit”. If a person’s arm is tapped rapidly, say five times at the
wrist, then twice near the elbow and finally three times on the upper arm, they report
not a series of separate taps coming in groups, but a continuous series moving upwards?as
though a little creature were running up their arm. We might ask how taps two to four came
to be experienced some way up the forearm when the next tap in the series had not happened
yet. How did the brain know where the next tap was going to fall?
The mind or the human brain is a mysterious place that verry little of it's functions or
it's mechanics is understood, let alone any of it's varying sensitiveties and
precognitivness.
I hope someone finds this of interest, I spent most of the night composing it from some notes I had to share with you all.
Love Cynthia

I very much agree with you, Cynthia. I was always fascinated by the human mind. It keeps you puzzled most of the time.

Thaank you Alexa
Yes the mind, how it works and it's funtions is mysterious and then there are the different potntialeies of what the mind is capable of especaily when connected with the heart wether an evil heart or good a good one, at a genious level the mind can bring about mass destruction or can be used for the good of mankind.

Re: Reality or illusion
I've just finished a book " Psy war", by J.M. Thibaux. Its about a new kind of war with new weapons : the children with paranormal powers : telephatie, telekinezie, precongnition, etc. Interesting. I belive the author has used the documentation about real cases identified in ex U.R.S.S.
You know we use only a small % of our brain. Imagine what can happen when it's used entirely. Only genious people on Earth.
