Ya ya have to be very careful how to breach someone about their inner tribulations. I try using the third person thing so that way I'm not picking out anyone in particular. Not bad where I work as a social worker for mental health consumers they all know I'm an empath

Here you have a site about empaths :

http://www.geocities.com/christabelle67/TheUniversalEmpathIndex1.html

I didn't have the time to check it, but it seems interesting.
I have to go now. I would like to have at least one hour of sleep. See you later.

How do you know if you are one? Can you suppress it? I used to be really good at reading people, not emotionally necessarily, but I could tell them all about themself in terms of how they acted and the type of person, without knowing them, but that doesn't sound much like empathy. I don't know what that would be, but I remember being the class freak show, rather like a fortune teller, except instead of fortunes, I was reading the person themself. Ahhh! Can't express what I'm trying to. Sorry.

Being able to read body language is definatly part of the package although an empath can just as easely feel what the person is feeling like their feelings are your own, you are literaly inside the person sharing their emotions and feelings. Speaking for myself I had no one to compare with before untill I connected with Alexa last night. Definatly sounds like you may have a potential Smurf, the gift grows the more you use it. Especially if one's work is dealing with people on a dayly basis. And it is possible to repress it, heck I wasted to many years doing just that because of fear.

Ya your right about analysing carefully what to tell someone about their inner selves, some people can get quite anoyed and if that happens you may loose someone's trust pretty quickly hodor and that can hurt.

Ssst ! In this case, I'll give you a trick. When your wife tells you she likes/dislikes very much something write it somewhere for yourself only. When anniversaries come around check her likes. On the routine days, check for dislikes. Once you have all these deep inside your memory, you can play with them and give her the impression you guess her thoughts.
