Re: Canabis, miracle cure or narcotic
Indeed, here in the UK taxes definitely change the equation heavily the other way as well.
I do miss my lazy stoned afternoons - but tobacco is utterly insidious - cravings after nearly 2 years. >:

Re: Canabis, miracle cure or narcotic
(The result is clear: invest in beer rather than dope, you're going to have fun much longer.)
Oh, but it's SO not the same thing. I miss my smoking days, but now I can't afford it and I try and maintain a clear head most of the time for writing purposes. But as far as damage---the worst crime I ever committed while smoking dope was eating too many chocolate chip cookies.

Re: Canabis, miracle cure or narcotic
lol
That analogy is unreal.
I used to live in South Yorkshire, and could get about half an ounce of really potent skunk for the price of one decent night out (about eighty quid).
And on an average working 40 hour week with the weekend off, it would last about three or four weeks. And it was MUCH nicer and less painful than anything related to alcohol.
Unfortunately, my dope days are also on hiatus...

Re: Canabis, miracle cure or narcotic
At twelve years old I watched my happy healthy grand father turn into a broken weak man due to the effects of cancer.* I wish he could have had a more dignified end of life experience and I wonder if canabis could have helped him.* My family and I took turns caring for him after bouts of chemotherapy, it changes your perspective when you hold someone you love while they struggle to breathe and vomit, all the while praying for relief from this disease process.* I think if at the time of his treatments we would have done anything to help him, unfortunately back then people would never have experimented with the benefits of medicinal canabis.* The use of medicinal canabis is still a major topic that people look down upon in this part of the country.* I feel that people who abbuse substances, any substance should be held accountable for their actions, but why should people who are in need of legitmate help be denied?
Just my thoughts

Re: Canabis, miracle cure or narcotic
Hello lpnhopeful and welcome to Free Cafe.
I'm sorry for your lost. Canabis cannot not cure cancer, but it could have helped your grandfather to suffer less.
You know, those who abuse of drugs are not exactly healty. There are many who suffer depression, but do not ask for help.
