What does your library look like???
I thought I'd start this thread, and let's see what people's libraries look like...
Are your books ordered, in any old state or anywhere you can fit them in the house???
Here are some pics of my library - that I could get to easily - 2 shelves in our bedroom, top shelf in my sons wardrobe and 4 shelves in the hall... But there are a number of books in boxes, under beds, in the bottoms of wardrobes...

Re: What does your library look like???
We've moved from apartment to apartment so often that I always got rid of most of my books as soon as I could (trade ins, donated to the library, etc.) but now that we're in a house I've begun to build it back up. But only just. We've been just getting by until recently and now we're going back to just getting by so money for books has been very low priority. I'm on first-name basis with the local librarians . Right now I've just got the one little shelf with about 25 books on it . Master, you look like you could do some purging, want my address?

Re: What does your library look like???
I haven't got a pic of mine, but its in an awful mess. Yours are sort of double stacked, master, but at least they're tidily stacked. Mine are double stacked with books just thrown on top, and there are loads of them under my bed. Last year I had to do a purge, and my parents managed to clear an enitre room of the dining room and I cleared about three shelves, but I seem to have replaced them again. I have to give my Cicero back to college next thursday, boo hoo.

This is mine - a modest collection of books, if I ever knew one, but intend to build it into another Alexandria by the time of my timely demise.

Re: What does your library look like???
Even if I did have a pic of my shelves, I would be ashamed to post it. Those shelves are awfully tidy, Andreas. Mine, well, if I pull a book out too quickly everyone downstairs hears the sounds of an avalanche and the sort of words uttered by someone caught under the avalanche.

Dude, the only way my collection is leaving here, is after my will is read out!!!
It was bad enough sending one video from my extensive collection to Morning Star!!! Though the film was particularly bad!!!
Hypes, I could do with your shelving system... That looks like it could take a fair amount of books, if arranged a little less neatly!!!
*Shakes head*
How can people "purge" their collections??? It is a travesty!!! It is heresy!!! It is unbelieveable!!!

Re: What does your library look like???
When I purged mine, the books all went downstairs into the hall in boxes. I kept going down and seeing one that I didn't think I could get rid of and taking it back again, so only about half of the original number that were supposed to go actually went.
